Perform-4A-Purpose is seeking funding support to produce a stage production called
"Sleepwalk" - a teen-oriented play that takes on the issue of suicide.  The play written by Emmy-winning playwright William Mastrosimone, is meant to be performed by teens for teens. Creatively blending humor, pathos and imagination, the play tells the story of Dillon, a young man flirting with suicide. With input of mental health professionals, it was written to foster open dialogue about depression and suicide and remove the stigma associated with seeking professional help.

As the curtain opens, Dillon who has already written a suicide note, enters a dream world populated by characters who are personifications of the emotional turmoil he, and many teens, experience. The story follows him on his inner journey from impulse to reason.

The production comes complete with Teacher Discussion Guides for post production.

P4AP hopes to bring "Sleepwalk" to local stages in Spring 2014.  Please click HERE to help sponsor this award-winning production for area youth and teens.
